The impact of music on humans is well-researched, and has shown that it is capable of calming and relaxing a mind in distress. But just how true is it with animals? Is music really capable of calming savage beasts?

People who have worked with animals like zoo keepers and vets suggest that music has the same impact on animals as it does on humans. The influence is not fully understood or defined, but music does affect animal mood at some level. Take, for example, feline animals like cats. Cats are drawn to the piano. The vibrations of the keys seem to be capable of reaching out to their systems which, as a result, calms them. Music affects animals in almost the same way it affects humans. Hence, it is possible to control pet behaviour using music.
