Electric Guitar
If you have listen and watch electric guitar masters like Yngwie Malmsteen, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, and more others, then you might have been inspired to try to become one yourself. Since the electric guitar is usually associated with rock music in general and some other kinds of music genre(e.g. ska, reggae, jazz, etc.), it is an instrument that usually comes with an either band with drums, bass, and other popular band instruments. In the modern music scene, aside from the vocalist (because everybody likes to sing), the guitarist with his or her guitar solo riffs and licks also usually grabs the attention and the vote of the crowd.
It is basically an acoustic guitar with a pick that instead of using a hollowed body and the nylon strings like the classical guitar, a set of steel cored strings, and a solid body is used. Since the guitars body is solid and is not able to amplify the vibrations of the string, an amplifier and a speaker is essential when playing an electric guitar. The sound of the vibrations made by the strings are usually altered electronically to produce other unique sounds such as distortion. A switch from playing an acoustic guitar to an electric guitar requires a bit of adjustment and practice. For more information check out the related sites for Electric Guitar.
