Sound of Agricultural Music

Music was not born in the 18th or 19th century. It has been around for a long time, even before man has started recording history. And historically, more than just a form of entertainment, music is used in many communities and cultures in various social practices including religion and agriculture.

In ancient times in Asia, Europe and some other parts of the world, farmers play music to thank their gods for the blessings and to celebrate a bountiful harvest. Traditional believers also used it to ask the heavens for favourable weather so that the crops would grow well. And even these days, some farmers still celebrate harvest with food, fun and music.
